So I've been looking at getting a new to me boat. I've had a few 19ft / 21ft bowriders w/ 5.0L Mercruisers / Alpha Ones.
Looking to get something a little bit bigger for Lake St. Clair, St. Clair river and Lake Huron. I also have a few smaller inland lakes I like to go to in Lapeer County and in Northern, MI.
Does anyone have any info on this boat or this model?
What to watch out for? test for? etc.
From what I've been reading the earlier Powerquest boats are very well built.
I know all pricing now-a-days is out of control, but what does everyone think about $20k for this boat?
Fair price?

Looks nice. My only problem with it is the graphics package. It seems that was their most popular....

This is ours that we picked up three years ago. I've seen about a dozen with the same graphics with variations on colors. Personal thing, though. I tend to shy away from trends.
Have the boat surveyed and compression checked on the engine. Seems like a nice ride, and should be a fairly lively boat with a 454, even if it's the only the 7.4LXi. If everything checks out, the price seems reasonable. We paid $40K for ours, but it only had 143hrs on it when we bought it.
Thanks. Brad.

I had a '95 years ago.
Boat was like new.
Had 7.4 and Bravo3
No tabs
Did a lot of stuff bigger boats do.
For a 23-24 it was nice and deep.
Not the fastest, but did see close to 60 once or twice.
Enjoyed it a lot.
VERY good quality build and finish.

I've seen a lot of those boats with fracturing @ the inside radius of the strakes starting about the windshield. I've fixed a few over the years and it required cutting out portions of the cockpit floor to access the hull. I've not seen this issue on the 257/260 models.
