jmackin,

Interest rates won't go up by the time I buy. Might even be lower for winter boat shows. Because of the time last year and not knowing which boat I REALLY want for 3 years or so (Go-Fast or Formula SuperSport) we decided to hold on this past summer. Which resulted in a lot more money for down payment so my number to buy this winter is higher. Will have a boat in the water April/May 03.

The Formula is great for space and respectible speed, but I don't know if I'll be 100% happy. This is what the wife doesn't want. I think I just need two boats....

Youve got me thinking about a 40ss, they are sweet! The one thing that bothers me is you cant leave them in the water. A boat like that would get alot more use at a dock rather than rack and launch, dont you think? I also think they are a little more than I want to spend. I talked to Dan @ J&J the other day and PQ is already out into Feb. for deliveries so if you are gonna order you better start thinking about it. He has a large dep. on the one I told you about but isnt gone yet. keep us informed to your decision.

The Formula 370-400SS are very sweet boats however the damn things are not trailerable which is what we do most.

Which 380 in Wisconsin are you looking at?

I am looking at the 38 at performance marine in Oshkosh. Rod seems like a real great guy.

Jeff,
Call Riverview Marine ask for Tim Edwards, he is the owner. I'm getting my new 38 from him. Great guy to work with. I bought the boat from him at the florida boat show last month. He wants to put it in the chicago boat show in two weeks. It's the best looking 38 they have built. His number is 1-815-663-1000. Hope he can help you. Also my insurance will be just under $2,000.

Rich

Default Speed 38 avenger

Jeff: I own a 99 38pq have 500efi in it. If you want a turn key boat every time you go out buy the 500's and be done with it. The boat well run a solid 82mph on the gps with two people in it. Kentz on the board owns a 34 and he run with us on the Ohio river and Lake cumberland. He can vouch that I run this all the time. A litle history first I order the boat in 99 with 502 it ran only 68mph was not fast enough so that winter my son and I put stainless marine header on it. Speed increase to 72mph. The headers leimate 383 lbs in the back end plus let the motors breath better. Next year got tried of sucking everyone wake so we install Pro-chargers on it. Speed shot to 87 mph could n'tncontrol the thing then or I was going to have to put spacers on the drives in oder to steer it. Besides the belt whining all the time you couldn't hear the stero. Wife was always complaing about the nosie. So in the end I put two 500efi with xz drives on it and it is the best thing I ever done. Solid 82mph with 2 people in it. Running 30 pitch lab finish props. Jumps right out the whole with no prop blow out. I think I'm going to try 32's this spring because I still have some rpm's left.Boat might be for sale if the right offer comes along. Wildman1 aka Blondes Preferred.
