Well It's gone!
My 1998 380 Just left for the factory, Its going in for some warranty work. The typical modifications that were done to these years hulls. Hopefully I will have as good of results as others had.
I guess Jan was too picky with his boat and it backed me up a little ;) |
Cool. Hopefully theyre doing work in house? Did they say how much improvement they thought they could achieve? Mine had a 3/16th hook in the back just when I put a framing square on it. This was after it had been blueprinted by their outside source! After Mark W. got done w/ it I put a 4' level and it was perfect and was almost mirror like.

Ray, your collection of boats is running thin ;)...380 at PQ and the 47 at Rods. Time to clean the shop I guess. :)
|
Jmackin, Mark W is going to do the work himself he says 3 weeks. To them this is a handling issue not a speed one or so they say. The did not promise anything. They just agreed to make it like the others they did.
HP500. I still have the Eliminator Left!! |
PQ called on monday and it's finished!
They called today to say they had some open water and wanted my permission to test the boat and see the difference. I said OK as long as they winterize it agian. I hope it all goes well. I am waiting to here from them on the results. Prior to the hull changes with the stock 30" and b1 1.50 drives I could only get 76 MPH. (previously I had seen 83 with imco drives 1.36 and 28p labbed props) I think its great for them to rapair my 1998 380 under warranty even though in the meantime the ownership had changed. Thanks PQ. |
Good for you, Ive been there and I think you will be happy.

Raypanic,
Hope everything turns out for the better. It is great that they are fixing the boat under warranty. Jack is making good decisions. Way to go PQ. Jan |
Any results?
|
Results from Factory 86MPH (gps) 5200RPM Bravo drives x stock 30". "still accellerating ran out of room because of ice" :D :D :D :D :D
I still have 200 or so rpm from the whipple setup, They also said it handles just like a new one out of the mold. I can't wait! |
That's great Ray! Bet you can't wait for some warm weather!!
