WALLY WHERE ARE YOU?

I called him yesturday afternoon and he said he had meetings and could not get out of work, what ever. :D I believe that he is going out on Sunday, I hope so that way I can go boating this weekend :( At least he has a PQ that runs I hope

Re: Where's Wally

Wally was on the water TODAY :evilb: :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

I got one outing on all of you central IL folks....... I was out long enough to get the motors warm and watch the storm clouds roll in. Then promply got the boat back in storage........ But happy to report that all systems are GO>>

QUESTION: The numbers on the boat from MICHIGAN are painted on. Rather then mess with the gel coat I was thinking about having a custom graphic made to fit over the top of the old numbers with the IL numbers. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Where's Wally

Wally
The paint should be able to be buffed off unless they were clearcoated over. Take a little paint remover on a rag and rub on the numbers that should remove the paint and should not hert the glass. If your scared I'll do it for ya :D

Re: Where's Wally

Yes, I am scared. Don't have the sack to mess with the fiberglass??

scuba
Working on the brush in AM, working on the boat in the afternoon on Sat. Then watching the Illini at Phils shop with a bunch of people then a little Holdem after the game while Mich St plays N.C.
Sunday I will be out at the property most of the AM then trying to steal a ride with Wally, so I can at least say I have been on the water :D

what speed are you getting out of that 290?

cbgenrl 04-05-2005 08:37 AM

Re: Where's Wally

No GPS runs yet. But the previous owner said 75 on the speedo was 69 GPS, and I saw 74+ Sunday with a half tank of fuel and 6 guys (and 5 coolers :drink: ) on board. Water was fairly sticky but it was also cold and cool air temp.....

I was real happy with those numbers..

Wally,
Do not underestimate the weight savings of having 46 holes drilled in the cockpit floor. We will have to race.

Wally, I got the "trailer queen" pretty much ready to go. I'm looking forward to checkin' out your new ride, Rich was really impressed. All I need is to get cought up with the farm work, and I'll get out and burn some fuel. Hillary is in the process of getting my numbers and name designed and made up.

The dominator is in transit tonight back to LOTO. I'll be going down this weekend to re-aquaint myself with it. It is being delivered to Raymonds tomorrow morning.

Seems ironic that it ends up back where it started. :p

I did not think that you would be able to go a hole summer without something :D You relize that it will probably sell this month :evilb:

Wally
I like your thinking a pizza would have been nice :drink: And five girls I would have given up my seat :evilb:

Scott
Lets get that boat wet this Sunday, I hope to have mine running by then, they did confirm that it is the starter, just have to get it out to get rebuilt :(

By the way this is my 200th post I am becoming a post whore. :p

Rich, just go run it on one engine. :evilb: :evilb: Not sure I will actually ever take the boat out again. I am going down this weekend to get the rest of the stuff out of the condo I need to. It went on the market yesterday. I heard someone was coming down tomorrow to look at the boat. I will probably go out with Kelly on his 353 fastek if I go boating this weekend.

Wally
I will have to speek for Scott, (the computer is at Hills and she is out of town) Since we did not get the rain, he said he will be playing in the fields all weekend, boating forcast does not look good :( , Shoot I tried to get him to come out to the property on Sat to cut but he's farming.
So what are you doing on Sat want to cut some wood? :D :D So far it is only scubasteve (Rob) and myself, we could use an extra hand. :drink:

scubasteve 04-08-2005 06:44 PM

Re: Where's Wally

Hey Wally we could use both hands if you wanna bring 'em!!! Drag Davey out there also!!!!

Rich I found something to occupy my time on Sunday. I snagged up an extra ticket (box seat by the way) :evilb: to the Cards/Phillies game. So we're flying down to St. Louis to heckle a little!!!!

The Checkmate is going into to Gibby's for some minor repairs today. I plan on putting her on the lift next weekend if I get her back.

No wood cutting for me I am booked :D :D :D

Me and the Fam spent the night in the loveshack (camper trailer) last night. Now I am scrambling to prepare for poker night at my house before I blow down to the lake for a few hours. I need to get the old man some seat time........

It was bound to happen...

Rob, I got your call. I am not sure when I am going down this weekend but I will be. Plans are to install a gutter to protect the runoff on the front of the boat and install my shore power and check out the fridge and micro. Also need to finish applying a coat of frenzy........

PWRQWST 04-23-2005 05:48 PM

Re: Where's Wally

Rob
