Props for an 88' Cig Bullet
#1
I have posted to this forum before inquiring about the difference between the Mirage and the Mirage Plus (my new to me, used boat has one of each!). I am now going to purchase a matched set - I was thinking going with the four blade Bravo? I have 502 Magnum MPI's for power. Any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

DORaymond,
Your bottom configuration is favorable to 3BL props. However, if you decide to gain the planing and mid range characteristics the 4BL Bravo 1 offers, choose the pitch 1" lower than your Mirages. There are other things to consider too when making the correct choice on finishing. For instance where do your engines currently run with the 3BL's?

Brett,
Right now, the boat is running about 67mph at 4900 RPM with 25P, three blades (one side is actually faster than the other since the props I have now do not match - Mirage on starboard, Mirage Plus on port).

24 Bravo 1's will give aprox. the same rpm. They will improve your midrage and time to plane. We suggest Lab Finishing them for your bottom configuration to obtain a little more rpm and possible speed. Your slip is a tad high right now. Otherwise your current props could be worked to achive the max rpm for your motors.
