Is the Viper a 23 pitch propeller?
Did you run a 23 Turbo to compare to a 23 Viper, or are we comparing different pitches? It looks that way.
You stated 320pshp. What engine is it? 6.2 MPI?

Re: Turbo 1 prop didn't work on my boat
Sorry, my bad. Yes, it is the stock 23 pitch Viper. I repowered with a 5.7GXi and after hours(literally) of research figured the Turbo 25 was what I needed.
I have not run a 23 or 24 Turbo. Which I want to do, but I would like to be close this time. To me, it seems like a big difference between these two props(V23 vs T25) for only being 2" apart in pitch.

You're talking about 2" of pitch and 2 different propeller profiles.
The difference should be quite noticeable.
I know a few people who run Vipers and love the top end.
If you could turn the Turbo faster, obviously your speed would go up to. Your mid range has improved quite a bit with the larger pitch. The Turbos also have a stiff cup and may be giving you too much bow lift causing you to have to balance the boat more and there in lies the extra chining.
Blueprinting the Turbo would bring the rpm up a couple hundred and if the chine walking is taken into consideration during the process, some of that could be taken out too. It would give you more rpm without extra trim. Did you buy this prop Labbed from Turbo?

Re: Turbo 1 prop didn't work on my boat
Turbo is not labbed. I can send it back for a 23 or 24, but I'm not sure which would work better.
It's funny you mention the Turbo lifting my bow because I know it's suppose to, but it doesn't. The Viper sticks the stern better, which in turn lifts the bow. In fact, the Turbo feels like it lifts the stern more. Running mid 60's is night and day different. The Viper just flies accross the tops keeping a nice level attitude and the Turbo feels like it's "pushing" and ready to go out of control at any minute. But, again, this could have been trim angle.
I know I am comparing apples to oranges. But that's all I have!

Thought about that. But I'm already getting too much stern lift with the Turbo 1. A four blade will lift the stern even more.
In all honesty, I would like to find a prop identical to the Viper but a little more pitch. The Viper may not be considered a performance prop but it's characteristics work on my boat!

I noticed your going to try the 24P turbo from another post. Let us know how it runs. Your rpm and speed should make you happy per your other numbers posted. The boats drivability will be a deciding factor for you.
As mentioned before, the Mirage Plus series works well on your boat. Have you tried one yet?

Re: Turbo 1 prop didn't work on my boat
I know I can get 70 in the right conditions with the right prop. I think a 24 Viper at 5000-5100 would put me there but unfortunately the biggest they make is a 23.
I am going to try a 24 Turbo 1 and a 24 Solas HR Titan.
I really want to try a Mirage Plus but it appears they only make a 23 and a 25 pitch, no 24.

Either one of those pitches can be worked to obtain the pitch and rpm you need.
If you get the chance to test with either pitch. Don't pass it by. It will tell you how the propeller carries and handle the boat.

Re: Turbo 1 prop didn't work on my boat
I tried a Turbo on my Baja a while back. Nearly undriveable with that prop... walked all over the place. The Mirage Plus in the same pitch (been a while, but I think they were 21" wheels) handled MUCH better and gave about the same speed. The turbo would blow out if I turned the wheel even a little bit.. really un-nerving. I would try a 23" Mirage Plus wheel on your boat... they tend to run a little "larger" than their dimensions (at least that's what we've found around here). Or a Bravo One 4 blade in a 22" pitch. That is what turned out to be the perfect prop for my boat.
