I just took delivery of a 27 Laveycraft Saber Cat today, 525 HP, 28 Lab Bravo One. This combo is very slow out of the hole. I tried a more full blade 28 Bravo One worked by Mazco and the hole shot was much bettter but top end suffered by 4 or 5 mph. Porposing is a problem as well. Laveycraft recommended a Maximus 26 pitch 15 1/4". Any ideas? Quent

Welcome to the board Quent.
Sounds like a nice boat. It would help if we had some performance numbers. Wide open throttle rpm (when trimmed for max speed), speed at WOT and drive gear ratio (I assume a XR drive).
Before you run out and buy a prop keep in mind we have test props you can try so you know what to expect before buying a prop.
If you prefer give us a call and we can talk to you directly.

The Maximus propeller will more than likely help your hole shot and porposing issue. The Bravo 1 propeller also works well on your hull but at worst may require some drive height adjustments as well as the prop worked.
More info would be helpful. In addition to the performance specs., what are your goals? Best top speed? All around performance?
