Default 3 Blade vs 4 Blade...

What are the major differences between running a Bravo 1 4 blade and Mirage 3 blade. Boat is a 29 Baja Outlaw with 454 mag mpi's. Currently run a bit over 70 with the 4 blades. They are 24p. Thinking of trying 25p 3 blades. Any thoughts?

You will expierience a few mph "increase" at WOT with the same amout of "loss" in the mid range using the Mirage Plus. Rpm's will maintain theirselves.

We are talking box stock vs. box stock.

Hmmmm so if I switch from my Bravo's to a pair of Mirage plus I should gain some mph. I have a 33ft Concept with twin 300X's.

Possibly.

Whats your rpm vs. speed at WOT and what way are you turning the propellers?

On your concept, you may experience more bow lift turning in.

Your tachs are off or your rev limiters are gone. 300X's shouldn't turn 7200rpm.

The Mirage Plus may the faster on the top end but the Bravo 1 will give you better mid range and planing abilities.

Rotation has its theories but must be determined by actual testing. It may be faster one way but the owner prefers the ride characteristics the opposite rotation.

okay I was just going to post the same question but found this first. I am currently running Bravo 1's 26p labbed by merc, 5200rpms @ 74-76mph. I have a second set labbed by Hill 5100rpms @72-74. I just tried a set of non-labbed Mirage 29p and @ 4500rpms 79-80mph. Can they be labbed enough to get my rpms around 5,000?

No they can't be labbed enough to get that much rpm. They will only get at the most 250 rpm more per prop. Also are you going by GPS speed or a tach that sounds like alot of mph increase just by switching to 3 blades. You need to go down in pitch to a 27 and then get them labbed. That should put you right on the money.
