What Prop to switch too
#1
My 280 Velocity has a 600 hp and a Bravo One drive. Currently I'm running a 26p 4-Blade Hydro. Someone told me that it has 3/4 blades. Would I benefit from switching to a Labbed finished Bravo One? What pitch?

I think you must have a Intimidator Q4? The blade design on that prop has a more agressive cleaverish trailing edge and less of a round ear design. That may be what the person you're talking to was referring to. These props offer more stern lift than a Bravo 1. They can be very fast on the right application. Your hull however, could benifit for the overall lifting characteristics the Bravo 1 offers.
Supply us with the recomended WOT range of your engine, and the current speed and rpm you are capable of running. Also what g.r. you have. And do you have a stock X dimention or has it been raised? Is it about 4-5" below the pad?

The Velocity boats run very well with the Hydro QIV's. I believe that alot of the boats are delivered with them. All of the Velocity Race Boats we work on run the Hydro QIV and P5 propellers. I am more than happy to assist you with a prop fitting. Post some of your info and we can go from there. Feel free to call me as well.
