What Prop? Fountain 24

WOW! That sux. Any word on damage?
Depending on the prop manufacturer, it's either part of the part number on the face of the hub, or it's stamped on the side between the ears. Look for something like XXXXXX-24L or -24R.
In this pic, the right side is R and the left side is L.
Good luck with your boat. Is the guy's insurance company buying you a new prop?
Cheers,
Brian

well since my boat wasnt strapped down in the back for the short journey... when the guy hit me, the boat moved forward on the trailer about 1-1.5ft. That seemed to absorb most of the impact. right now the shop is just fixing the nicks on the prop and repairing the skeg. i surely want to drive it to see if anything feels wrong though.
i may make an arguement for a new prop.

When looking at the back of the boat, a RH prop turns clockwise and a LH turns counter clockwise.
The leading edge, or the part that goes though the water first is the thinner of the 2 edges.

ok the boat is finally fixed after 2 trips to the shop... i did seem to lose a couple MPH though... dont know if its from some in-exact repairs to the prop or skeg... or what.
but anyways it now runs 70-73 at about 4850-4900rpm with the drive trimmed up.

If that boat got pushed forward 1-2 feet, i'd also be looking at a bent propshaft as well.
