Help From The Prop Gods?
I have a 1993 Cigarette 35 Cafe. Boat has stock 502's CMI headers, MSD ignition, holley 800"s and crossovers. The boat has Bravo I's with Miage 23p 3 blades. The boat will hit 70.4 @5300 rpm's, the drives are out kinda far to get that rpm and mph. I believe the gear ratio is 1.5. i can cruise at 50 @400rpm's. All in all I'm pretty happy but was wondering if I would or could benefit from prop change. I would like to run the same speeds with the drives closer in. any help or suggestiond would be greatly appreciated.

You have about 9% slip. This is assuming that all of the numbers you used are accurate. This being said I believe that you are in the correct props. You could go to 4B propellers and improve the perfromance and handling but you will probably loose on the top end. When you say drives closer in are you referring to the amount of trim you have to put into the drives?

Yes I am referring to the amount of trim. I was also wondering could I run 4 blades @ a lower rpm and get close to the mph I am now? How much top end do you think I will lose?
Thanks in advance!
