Re: Help with 29 Fountain Prop
If you are on the limiter with the 26, the 28 should give you a few more mph.

Re: Help with 29 Fountain Prop
In that case it is a horse a piece with the 26 to 28.
What I mean is, if the 26 takes you off the limiter by 100 or so rpm, your speed will increase over that of the 24 on the limiter.
Then, comparing the 26 to the 28 will more than likely reap similar top end speeds. The 28 will be approx. 350 rpm less than the 26 with similar top end numbers. The 26 will get on plane easier and have better throttle response while the 28 will more than likely improve your cruise speeds. If this is the way it pans out, Lab Finishing the 28 may give you the best of all world except hole shot which I assume isn't an issue.
We have a full line of test Bravo 1 propellers in the sizes you need. Let us know next spring if you're interested.
Take care and keep reading those boating mags. It will help you through the winter!

Re: Help with 29 Fountain Prop
Thanks Bblades. I will take you up on that offer. I hope the mags can hold me over. Maybe we will have a short winter. By the way how do those Bravo 1 test propellers work. Is it a brand new prop? Do I keep it if I like it? How much do you charge for the test props? Thanks

Re: Help with 29 Fountain Prop
famous,
Currently most of our test props are new. Reason being, we try to determine the perfect propeller before sending out just anything. If the customer loves it and wants to buy it, they can. If it isn't right we all learn something and the propeller is returned.
This year has been unbelievable how many times we have had to order new props to replace the ones customers keep. If the propeller is used by a second customer for testing, we can not sell it as new and we replace the test prop with a new one once the customer decides what they need.
There are no stipulations other than you pay a very small processing fee and shipping. Keep long enough to get data and we discuss your findings to determine your goals and needs.
Good luck with the mags.!
