Re: need new prop after upgrades

I'd try a 24p or 26p Bravo 1...
Happy Boating! :D

26p thats alot of pitch. will it still plane off nice with that much pitch?

A 24p Bravo will spin about 100rpm lower than a 23p Mirage plus; a 26p 100 less than a 25p M+.
Compared to a 3 blade cleaver I'm not sure.
The boat will be better out of the hole with a 4 blade for sure.

Pat, glad to hear your prop ran well!

Actually the rpm differences may be a little higher than you stated. Of course every boat responds differently.

Going to a 24 Bravo 1 from a 23 Mirage will pull the R's down closer to 200-250. Not only do you have a small amount of pitch increase, you also have greater blade area due to diameter and number of blades.

I'd try the 24 first. But try either you can get your hands on. Call if you need some assistance.

during testing the 330 motor came apart  but now i am geting ready to try my new setup. merc 420 bottom end with my merlins and dana exhuast. i was spining the 330hp at 5200rpms(way too much) with a 23p cleaver at 63mph. now with the new motor i am sure i am going to need way more than a 23
