Smile Pitch questions

250 EFI on 24 Superboat

I want to drop about 400-500 RPM at WOT.

Currently running new 23 P trophy plus.

6000 RPM 66-67 MPH- fully loaded with equipment fuel and passangers.

Would a change of 2 inches in pitch to a 25 P trophy plus be the correct choice?

Each inch of pitch is equal to 200 RPM and increasing pitch decreases RPM with like diamters. So in your case a 25P Trophy Plus will decrease your RPM by 400.

Thank you for the response Julie!

Ill loose 400 RPM going to 25P and do you think I will see MPH gain?

The taller the pitch the greater the speed capability...BUT you must run the engine at WOT, at the RPM were the peak HP is produced or to say the pitch that will put you at that RPM.
