Default Holes in anti-ventilation plate

My boat has two holes in the anti-ventilation plate that I am assuming was from a previously mounted drive shower.

Will these holes do anything to performance? I was thinking of filling them but if they aren't hurting anything I will leave them alone.

Wont do anything to performance, but corrosion is more likely to occur in those spots.

I got a couple drive showers that would fit those holes. Any interest let me know.

Thanks Skramer I appreciate it but my drive shower has a sea water "pickup".
