Thanks guys. John from mercury did call back an confirmed what was stated here. But they do have a good line of aluminum props

I wonder why the race only props can not be made from a chrome molly steel alloy. What Do the top fuel hyros use?

Mike,
The props can be made from a non stainless type of steel. Now they are using 13-8 and heat treated to a very high Rockwell. We are looking at several options for very high horsepower/turbine applications.
