Hey YAll,
Looking for a little help tweaking this rig!! 1990 23 eliminator,2.4 efi merc's--- 14.5 x30 mazco OS clever's spinning to the outside.I got the boat half way thru last season.
Any how stuck at 80--85 mph, trying to find more MPH,have heard from many that it should hit close to, if not 100 mph the way it is.
Motors are even,or maybe 1/4" to 1/2" below sponsons.
I do not have jack plates (yet)budget is a little tight.I could buy jack plates,or props, but not both, right now!!!
Any ideas. Are cleavers the right props???? I don't know if the props have been labbed,I would guess no.
Thanks Scott

As far as I know the motors are all stock. The boat had been in storage for several years,as the previous owner lost interest.
The motors are 2.4 bridgeport efi Horn motors, not the bottom feeders.Max RPM has been 6,000,trimmed as far as it would trim,I have not hit any type of rev limiter,as far as I can tell.
Moderate trim ,it will run to 5500 or 5,600

Yes the boat should be faster. But how much depends on many variables. Boats current weight, engine compression, etc. You are low on rpm. Propping may make a difference. The props you have are good props but we don't know what has been done to them. How fast is 6000 rpm? 81, 82? You look to be pretty hooked up. Engine height will help the top end.
