What is the best way to keep a labbed prop clean?Every time I pull my boat out of the water after a day or two of use my props have surface rust on them!I know all stainless is suseptable to rust but how can I minimize it?

I think what you're seeing is mineral deposit (calcium phosphate) build-up typically due boat's electrical current grounding through the props.

One reason sacrificial anodes are on outdrive hydraulics parts to protect pistons.

I have same problem at AZ lakes. Should come off with CLR or full strength white vinegar. I have to after every loadout.

Depending how bad they, try a 90 distilled water /10% miriatic acid (pool acid).

If you are getting rust on the props spray or wipe them with oil. Satin finished props will tend to rust quicker than polish finished props.

In salt or brackish water we recommend splashing clear tap water on the props after trailering or lifting the boat. Then apply CRC or WD-40 to prevent corrosion.

I know this can be a pain but it definitely will cure the problem. If both clean water and lubricant aren't available, use one or the other and wipe down the prop.

High Polish props will corrode slower. However the performance can decrease with high polish. Also High Polish can actually cover casting flaws.
