After A Rebuild I Have Gained 11mph Running A Hydromotive Labbed 24p. The Boat Hits A Wall At 4600rpm. I Like The The Acceleration And Cruise Speed Of The Hydromotive But It Feels Like The Boat Is To Wet. I Would Like To Get A 4 Blade That Has Good Bow Lift And Would Like To Get Back To 5000 Or 5100 Rpms.

Was the Hydro a Quad IV? If so try a 22 or 24 Bravo I. I have run both the QIV and the B I on my 1990 21 Excel and the B I is definetly the better prop for that hull. More bow lift, faster, and much better ride. The QIV is a stern lifting prop and will tend to push the bow down into the water slowing the boat down.

Cool, sounds like a stompin little motor. I put a Merc 420 with a B&M 174 blower on it in mine. Rated at 525hp, will do 74mph with a 28" B1 @ 5050 rpm, 60 gals fuel, 3 adults. Needs more air though, scoop is definetly in the future.
The bravo 1 prop was definetly a big improvement over the quad 4.

I HIT 70 MPH AT 4500 RPM NEED TO GET TO 5150
I ALSO NEED TO ADD A SCOOP OVER THE WINTER. SHE IS SCREAMING FOR MORE FUEL AND AIR. CHANGED JETS ON THE WATER TO 83P 85S I THINK I WILL GO TO 85P 88S AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. SHOOTING FOR 75MPH. I WILL TRY TO GET MY HANDS ON A BRAVO 1 IF I CAN FIND A SHOP THAT WILL LET ME PROP TEST.

We have the full line of Bravo 1 propellers for testing.
Our test program only requires a $10 deposit!! That's all!! You pay shipping and keep the prop for ten days. If the prop doesn't work we can try something else. If not, you learn something about your boat and there are no strings attached.

24 B1 to get the base line. It may need tweaking but the higher pitches give better mid range. If it is too tall we can try the 22.
Both sets of 24's are out on loan but we should have one back this week.

Bret,
Do you know of anyone having tried a 5 blade prop on one of these hulls. I've thought one in the 25" P range might work well on mine. Minimize sternlift, while giving a better cruise speed. Your thoughts, thanks, Chuck.
