Herring props
#2
Hering propellers are more expensive across the board.
There are many differences depending on the line or model your talking about. They both have their place. Each are better or worse depending on the application.
Mercury started it........Hering came from there (most people don't know that)........I better not go any further on this thread......
You need to specify your rigs prop category to discuss the differences in the two manufacturers.

Dont know what application you are speaking about. Like Brett said, they have their place. Their Bravo style props I have heard have some problems. Their 6 drive style props work good. The difference is about 6 months to repair or replace a Herring, and you can buy a Mercury from any dealer.

BBLADES also repairs and adjust Hering propellers if any one needs this service. We have worked on numorous Herings for race and pleasure applications.

I have a set of 6 bladed Herings on my boat.(staggered 04 gladiator with 525,s) . The props seem smoother and have a nice bite to them. I was told that I should pick up some midrange mph while lowering my rpm,s. Unfortunately, that is not true. What I can tell you is that the boat handles awesome with them and that they are smooth.(vibration free). They are an excellent overall prop. But, today, with all of the new props available, I don't know that I would buy them again.
