Stock 30ft 454 props?

Anyone know of a good starting point of prop size and type for a 1989 30' scarab panther with twin 454 (330hp).Putting together a boat with stock engines and 1.5:1 bravo 1 drives.Any info would be appreciated- Thanks

Do you have any propellers what so ever you can test with to get a baseline?

I had a 370 HP 1987 Scarab Panther. I think B-Blades is real close with 23P Mirage. Brett should be able can move the RPM range up or down 200 rpm if you need adjustment. With final tweaking, you should be able to run 63-65 mph.

I dont have any props to try, but wellcraft says the boat empty weight is 6500 Lbs.hey also tell me that tey would have shipped this boat new with 21 lazer props.Most people seem to recommend mirage plus.I dont knowof any place here in the area of toronto Ontario Canada that will allow you to test props.I dont mind buying new ones but only if i know which one works best.If there is anyone that knows of a way to get a test prop please let me know

Is the mirage plus with vent holes a better option?Or is the one without good enough for my application?If i went with vent holes what size holes should i get?

or23 Mirages would be a good place to start for sure. I know of other scarab owners that tried alot of props and didnt do any better. most of the early scarabs ran the drives prety deep and the mirages seemed to do well on those setups. The boats I am refering to were a bit older and heavier but were tweeked for a bit more power. They also were running TRS drives 1.5-1 ratio If you cant find a good set let me know I have some 23s or mabye there 25s have to look .I know there balanced and ran together well, when I bought them I tried 3 pairs before I found some that ran in sinc at the same rpm . Iwas told this is not uncommon w/ mirages. Good Luck!
