Default What would be the best

I spent some time testing props,a 24p 4 blade hydromotive ,25pm+ and a 23p mirage.

24p hydro wot was 4600ropm trimmed out at 67.5mph gps 3 people and 40 gallons of fuel flat water

25p M+ wot was 4600rpm trimmed out at 68.5 mph 2 people slight chop.

23p mirage was 5100 rpm trimmed to the max at 65mph just me and 30 gallons of fuel.

the boat is a 21 scarab excel modified 454 carb bravo 1 3800 lbs

speed before modifications were 58mph with the 23p mirage stock 330hp 7.4l 4800 rpm

should i have the 24p hydo labbed or the 25p m + or should i try something else in my quest for 70mph.

Lab the 25pM+ and run lite.
You'll hit 70.

I was thinking the same thing.I just like the cruise speed of a 4 blade and since i spend most of my time in the 3k to 4k rpm range im wondering if labbing the hydro will get me there.

Also the 24p hydromotive turns 4600rpm no mater if i am fuel of fuel 60 gallons and have 4 or 5 people in the boat. It just seems to hit a wall.
Im starting to think my cam or intake are holding me back.

Which hydro did you try??? A Q4 or Q4-X????

I would try a 24 Bravo 1 4 blade and a 23 REV4 to see what results you get.

I doubt the cam or intake is holding you back since you can spin the 23M+ to 5100rpms. The rpm loss on the other props is consistent with that result.

If your midrange is faster and stronger with the 4B Hydro, and you hit the wall at 4600 within 1 mph of the 3B M+, it makes sense that the hydro is a little big relative to your torque. Thinning it out will free it up as well, getting higher rpms, improved top end, and will keep the great handling and midrange characteristics... I would lab the hydo.
...free advice... worth what you paid!!
