Default 280 Velocity--Prop help

I have a 99 Velocity 280 Sport with a 502 Mag. The motor is stock as far as I know except for Stainless Marine headers and risers. The ECM has not been remapped as far as I know.

I was running a 26 4 blade brand unknown. 4600RPM at 63MPH. I was told the maker reccomended a 26 Bravo 4 blade. It ran 4000 at 55 MPH. Where do I go now? What should it tach out at?

WOT for a 502 mag is 4600-5000rpm.
If your at 4600 with a heavy load, I'd say your probably OK.
If your at 4600 running light, you're lugging the engine.
5000rpm is were you want to be for max speed.
If you like the way your boat handles with the prop you have, it can be adjusted to give you more rpm at WOT.

Depending on your X dimension a 3 blade may not even get you on plane, it could just blow out, a 4 blade may be your only choice.
