question re actual Bravo 1 pitch
Hi Guys,
This gets knocked around from time to time and I would like to get a professional opinion from our resident prop experts.
Most of us have heard that the actual pitch of a Bravo 1 (stock) is approximately 1" to 1.5" less than stamped (ie 30" = 29" or 28.5").
A. is this true?
B. if true, is the correction 1", 1.5", or something else?
I realize all the #s can be changed with modifications (+ or - pitch and cup for instance). My reference is to a stocker.
Thanks for your input,
Steve

I would agree.
A local prop shop that did repairs to a 26p B1 for me told me that they have measured the 26p a few times. They said that 26p B1s are slitely under 25". Then add some cup to that and they would be slightly over 25p.

I think it was Bblades that stated that there's a tiny bit of stern lift difference. As far as my boat is concerned, I can't tell a difference between the two, the boat acts the same, just "geared" up or down.
