What year is your hull?
What drives and gear ratio?

The hull is a 1996

I'm not sure of the ratio

You need to run a Bravo I propeller on that hull, unless you have really heavy engines.

last weekend a tried a 24 pitch, four blade Hydromnotive, it seamed to have a good hole shot. I could not tell what my top end was doing there were 4-5 footer out there during testing, so I spent most of my time airborne.

Try it again in better water, for testing. This will give you a feel for the stern lift of a semi-cleaver propeller.

I agree with Julie that the Bravo 1 propellers in stock form are a great starting point. They will give you great all around performance on your vintage hull.

The trubble was that the stock props cavitated during accelleration.
