Default Maximus vs Hydro P5-X ??

How similar(or different) are they? I am looking at 30 pitch in both. On my 1000+ hp
27' Baja. It came raised 2"in X from the factory. W/the Bravo 30 tends to blow out around
3000 rpm coming on plane. I have a P5 30 helps on the blowout but creats a "EVIL" bow steer.
I've got 6 months before I see water again.... so just looking ahead.

Thank you
Randy

I'm sure that Bblades or Throttle Up will respond. I went with the P5X (didn't have Maximus to try when I was testing), but it does a great job.

The P5X is advertised at 15' diameter. The Maximus comes stock at 15 5/8" diameter. They both have rounded ears higher rake angles to offer some trimming ability although they are stern lifting propellers. We have found the Maximus to have more customizing potential because of their intial geometry and size. They are both good propellers and either should help your set up, especially with some tweaking. Due to your HP and top end potential, the stern lifting won't be a gig deal.

We have the full line of Maximus propellers available for testing when the time comes if your interested.
