JULIE @ Throtle Up ?

I thought I'd step in here. Hope you don't mind.
You are poised to gain speed via Labbing. Your rig will respond to the process. If the power curve continues to grow through the 5500 range, which most 540's do, the added rpm could bring you 3mph +or-.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

But the Neg side of labbing is 2-3 MPH loss in Cruise !!! Most people spend 95 % @ cruise RPM 3500-4000 RPM . I have had many Hydromotive Props in stock form out perform Labbed merc props !!! Pitch for pitch. I had a 28 bravo One Labbed vs 28 Hydromotive Quad 4 -X and they both had the same top end but the labbed was 3 MPH slower than the Hydromotive at the same RPM !!!!!!!!! I will never waste my money again !!!!

Hydromotive is not for every hull ,neither are other brands.
You need to find the right prop for the boat you have and then lap the prop to the spec you need.
Then its not a waste of money.

Agreed, each set up is different. We have found the Hydro respond to Labbing differently than Mercs. Labbing can be done for top speed and also for mid range.

99 % of people are unaware of the trade-off . You either have maybe more top end or less mid range . I did much research on this boat , and will NEVER buy a labbed prop again !! For the record , BB did the work ! Brett is a nice guy , but I will thin blades myself and wont clip trailing edge .
