Sorry to ask this, i just read this thread.
Are you saying that if your drive is level to the bottom of the Hull ( straight ) the propshaft is 6 inches below the bottom ?

The Mirage+ goes up to 29. I would try one. Even with a shorty I bet you're deep enough to run a M+. It may slip a little getting on plane but once up it should work well.

Yes, he is saying at neutral trim his propshaft is 6-6.5" below the bottom of his boat.
