cutting diffuser off of bravo's for twin outboard dcb??

cutting diffuser off of bravo's for twin outboard dcb??
i have a mach 26 twin 300 outboard dcb. it has a set of labbed 30p mercury bravos on it with one inch vent holes drilled. i was wondering what the diffuser ring being cut would do for top end and all around. thanks
