I have two 27 pitch, 4 blade hydromotive props. They are in great shape. I have them on a 33ft fountain with about 450hp a motor and I can not turn them faster than 4300 rpm.
What should I trade for?
Who wants them?
I just built to 454's with roller cams and this boat should be going faster than 64 on the GPS......I think......I hope.

I am not sure if they are or are not. I was told they were expensive props but to be honest I do not know anything about them. They came on the boat when I bought it.
They have TRS drives, not sure if that helps. How do I look at them and tell?
I had a buddy test them and he had a newer sonic, as well as a Formula. They fit their boats.
I also think that my uncles scarab has an XR on it and they fit it as well.........

Most Hydromotives are a solid hub, so if they fit a TRS, they won't fit an XR. I'm thinking you need to look for a 25 pitch Bravo 1 prop or a 25 pitch Hydromotive. Both are very good props and both are 4 blade. If you want to try a 3 blade, maybe a 25-27 Mirage. Try getting your rpm's up around 5,000, and your sure to gain mph.

I would like to keep on a 4 blade.
Would my 27 hydromotives be a even swap for a 25-4blade hydro's?
I do not know much about them and I do not want to get ripped off nor do I want to look like a putz asking to trade a bayliner for a Sonic...........

Operating Range = 4500 - 5000 RPM
Top End of Operating Range = 5000 RPM
Tachometer Reading = 4300 RPM
Difference = 700 RPM
For every 1" of pitch size, the effect will be approximately 200 RPM. Knowing this, take the difference in the above example at 700 and divide it by 200. The result is 3.5. The prop to use will be 3.5" in pitch less than the prop that was used. Hydro 27 - 3.5 is 23.5P and in a bravo you need a 24.5P
Bravo props pitch is 1" less than it is stamped so a 24 is really a 23. Hydro a 24 is a 24
you can also add or take out cup on the blade and change the rpms 200 using the same pitch prop.
Look around and try to borrow and try different props pitch. It gets expensive buying the wrong props.
