Prop for a 27' Excalibur w/ 502
I'll be picking up a 1980 27' Excalibur this week (or next) and I wanted to get opinions on what prop the experts at OSO would recommend.
I'll report back with what prop is on it and how it rides and the characteristics regarding RPM, speed, etc...
But do you have any preliminary recommendations?
The engine is a 502 - fairly mild motor. Upgraded cam, intake, roller rockers, dry exhaust, etc... Nothing extreme by any means. I think it would be around 450 hp or so...maybe a little more.
It has a TRS drive.
What say you?

I would say a 23 or 25 mirage plus. that prop worked the best for me with a trs. You should love the boat they handle great and awesome in some rough water for it"s size. Good luck with it.
