Prop shipping

I just box them up, wrap the prop in bubble wrap, then get an oversized box, double up the cardboard on the inside, fill partway with packing peanuts, place the prop in, then fill the rest of the way with peanuts. If you are leary of this, build one out of plywood, using a long bolt and washers to bolt the prop down to one of the sides.

I just recently shipped a couple to Mercury Racing for refurb. Had a thick cardboard box, cut a top and bottom out of plywood and sandwiched the prop with threaded rod and nuts. Screwed 4-2 x 4's @ the corners, put in the box and filled with peanuts. Held up well and Mercury sent them back in the same boxes.

2 pieces of plywood bigger than the prop diameter with a hole in the center, then run a bolt through the holes and prop center. Then place in a box of appropriate size to keep it from moving around. Cut the plywood to fit tight in the box.

I know this isn't crate related but.....
Check out U.S. postal service rates, I believe they were almost half as cheap to ship 2 props to BBlades than U.P.S. with the same insurance
for me.

That's BBLADES packaging. literally.
We do send these packages to people in advance, if they wish to send us their props.......
ciaoderhead,
Merc sent your props back in your boxes cause they figured you wanted them back. Or you told them you did. We/Merc Racing always (in the past while I was there) sent props back from Merc in Merc boxes if the customer boxing was lack luster. Some guys just want their own creations they are proud of back to use again. Your custom box obviously involved time and effort and was as good or most likely better than the Merc Racing stuff! Most folks don't want to take that time.
If anyone wants to use our boxes for storage or shipping to BBLADES or elsewhere, please give us a call.
