RPM gain with Merc Lab prop?
What kind of rpm gain will I get by going to a Merc Lab 28 over a stock Merc 28?
My boat just did 98.6 mph at 5980 rpm with a stock Merc 28, and 1.34 gears.
Peak horsepower is at 6250 rpm.
Looking to hit over 100 mph.

Ran a pair of non lab 28 Bravos on the last 35 Fountain and turned them 5000, changed to a pair of Merc labbed 28's and turned them 5300. I'd say you should see about 300 more, the Merc lab work seems to be pretty consistent.
BTW, nice number! Good luck on the 100+.

When I worked at Merc Racing we always told people there would be a 300 rpm gain. Fact was we saw 0-500. Now that was only per the information we got from our customers. LOL
Actually the testing did prove to see 250-350 with 300 being the standard. Our numbers at BBLADES are the same. Certain boats respond differently. Stock performance numbers help us to determine the outcome of standard template Labbing. Today we adjust the recipe as need for the customers desires and the boats attitude.
