Force 29' Cat Prop Help Please
I just purchased a 2004 29' Force mid cabin bow rider. It came without power. We are installing a Paul Phaff carb'ed BBC rated at 680HP. Also installing an XP drive. Being that this is my first Cat, I have no idea what prop to put on her. The only thing I have laying around is a SS quicksilver from a Bravo 1. It is a 28 pitch.
Any ideas on prop selection??? Should I run the 28 pitch, check RPM's and then go from there??? Is the 28 pitch close enough to even run without causing any issues??
By the way, this is a lake use only boat. Most it will see is 3' chop, if that, ever!

Absolutely try what you have first. Once you have some numbers, call us and we can discuss the route to go next. We can also send you some test propellers.
