25' baja outlaw, best prop set up?
I have a 2002 25' Baja Outlaw. 496 Mag, 3 blade prop, running 4700 RPM at 61 MPH. Wanting more top end speed and was told I should be running 5000 RPM but not sure what the rev limiter is set at. Getting out of the hole is fine, just can't seem to get past 61 top end.
Looking for some advice of what pitches to use. Anyone done this and know what the best set-up is? Or what the rev limiter is set to?

I have a 24.... We are almost the same. I have got a couple runs with it this year. I am turning a labbed bravo1 24p 5500 rpms at 68-70mph. i have a labbed (poorly labbed) 23p mirage plus. rpm around 5300 speeds (3 runs) 72, 71, 74. all on gps. I am running 570hp with a 1.50 drive ratio. sooooooo you might be at your peak.. but labbing might be your next best bet. have your prop labbed. You can pick up rpm and speed. BBlades does it and brett is a bank of prop knowledge. i bet you can get 65 out of it. i hear alot of people getting those 25s to 65. I am going to send brett a 23p mirage plus when i get one. they also have the test a prop program.

I would like to go to a 4 blade on my Baja, I currently run the 13 7/8 23P Three blade, pretty much a stock 454EFi with Stainless marine exhaust, runs 60 MPH, maybe a little better in ideal conditions, would like the 4 blade for towing/skiing/holeshot. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

The best top end prop for 24 & 25 Outlaws is a labbed 23" Mirage Plus.

I have a 1999 25' Outlaw with a stock 454 and original 23P stainless prop. My boat is running 68 mph consistantly unless I have full fuel load and passengers. Will labbing the prop get me over 70 mph? What about a K & N air filter? Since the engine is fuel injected, is there and ECU like a car that can be reprogrammed / chipped to get more HP? I want to get over the 70 MPH hump.
