I think a 4 blade is always going to give you better midrange and cruising. You are probably running a better prop (bow lift) than I was (stern lift) which affects alot more things than just speed (like how it handles waves and overall handling). My main concern was the lack of RPM and lack of top end (57 MPH and 4500 RPM is a joke with 385 HP and a 23pitch prop). To me it feels like I just bought a new boat! More power, handling has improved and so has top speed. I can live with less midrange compared to what I have now.

I would be interested in trying your prop if your interested in trying my Q IV X 23P?

Thanks but I picked up a 23P Mirage Plus and just love it!
I just want to sell the Hydro Quad IV and am putting it on ebay today.

Glad you found a prop you like...

If you are going to try a 4 blade... you should try a 22 Bravo, or a 22 Q4x. They will lift the stern a bit more than the Mirage... but not nearly as much as a Q4. Midrange cruise on either of these props will be better than with the Mirage.
