Default Prop question

Formula 292 SR1 502 GM Gen VI Motors approx 450 Hp.
I was running three blade 23 pitch Mirage Stainless steel at 5400 rpm speed approximately 73 to 75 MPH.
Picked up a set of 25 pitch three blade, rpm dropped to 5000, speed don't know at the moment waiting to install my gps speed ometer. I think I am pretty close to where I want to be !
The question I have for the prop guys, can I cup these props do get my RPM below 5000?
Motors are rated to run at 4800 .
Thank you in advance for the replies !

Sure, you can have them tweaked to reduce the rpms by 200. I'm really not sure you would want to though. Most of the crate and merc 502's can easily be run at 5000rpms with no problem and especially if you are at 450hp, you will need to run it that high to make the power.

Also, wait for some hot humid summer weather. It will make your rpms drop a little.

I like the 5000 rpm number too.

We can do what you asked if do decide you want to run at 4800. We can also Lab the prop with the extra cup height to get back to 5000rpm and theoretically gain speed. (1-2)
