Actually the vent holes still affect thru hull exhaust boats! There is always some ambiant air trapped in the exaust tube. Also, the pressure differential becomes so powerfull it will pull air from any possible leak or even create them. We have seen dramatic chages venting props on thru hull exhaust boats. Each application is different.

Don't drill them unless you need the help. Call me with any questions.
