I can spin B1 30P to 5200 and that gets me about 85-86mph GPS fully fueled and loaded up with people and gear, coolers, etc. in the heat of summer. I have alot of stuff in my boat - weighs in at 9500lbs fully loaded/fueled before I add bodies. If I run my B1 32P I can turn them to 5000 and run the same speed for the most part. Mid range cruise is much better with the 32s though. Never ran the boat without all the gear/stuff and low on fuel yet. I probably should just to see what speeds I can see.

First you need to determine the rpm that gives you the best HP. (What rpm do you want to run at WOT?)
Because you are running officiant now, Labbing the 28's could be the best idea. You would need to be able to make HP at 5400-5500 for this option.

Going to 30's is the other option if the HP stops growing in the 4800-5000 range.

Actual 30 pitch castings will run better than a bent set of 28's made to 30's.

Call us anytime and we can explain in detail.
