Again a reminder that the winter special ends in 27 days. Any propeller recieved within the month of Feb. will recieve the winter discount pricing.
Thank you, Brett |

How did that thing live? I cracked 4 stock 32's, without hitting anything. |

Somewhere around $160. We fix those types of issues often. Correct heat and experience is what it takes. Thank you, Brett |
Brett, I have only run my boat, a Fountain Fever 29' with twin 6.2s twice before I had to put her away for the winter (new boat to me - 160 hrs.). It has Bravo I 26 pitch props. I want to run it this spring with a full tank to see how many r.p.m.s it pulls. If my memory serves me correctly it pulled about 5100 - 5300 with an indicated 3/4 tank and just me aboard. If the boat currently pulls an honest 70 m.p.h. on the GPS speedo what speed increase would it gain (on an average) with the Bravos getting your lab treatment? Seems like blueprinting the props will be the most bang for the bucks. Might even get a bit of return on using less fuel? I have no plans to increase horsepower.

Wes,
Labbing props is definately one of the biggest bangs for the money. In your case, you will need to check on your desired WOT rpm. I believe you are already there unless the engines are set up with higher rpm capacity than normal. If you are already at the top rpm you desire, we would go to the 28 pitch castings and Lab them. That process could reap 2-5 mph across the rpm range and most likely in the 3.5 mph range. Also you will recieve butter smooth operation and acceleration. Call me anytime and we can discuss this more in depth. Thank you, Brett |
Brett, I will call you after I test my Fountain this spring. Thank you for your quick reply.
Just one more quick question. "IF" I find I am at or near the top end of the rev range with my Bravo I 26" pitch props is there anything you can do with that specific prop? The reason I ask is that I purchased a spare set of LH and RH props when I bought the boat. I knew nothing of labbing props at the time. Or would I be better off selling the Bravo I 26s and getting 28s for you to work on? Needless to say I am trying to keep costs down. Do you take trade-ins? |
