Just tried the Maximus propellers that Brett set up for me. Awesome results - picked up 6 mph at cruise.

Nice! What did you start with and what prop exactly. Power? Did you gain or lose on the top end?

Started with 32 bravo 1s. Top end stayed about the same, twin step 38 Cig with intercooled 575 sci. Was after better cruise, was 54 - 56 at 3500, now 60 - 62 at 3500. Boat ran 90 - 92 hard into the rev limiter, ran 90 at 5200.

Going to 5 blade propellers from 4 blade props will most often create better cruise speeds. This is due to decreasing the slip numbers at cruise. We have done this with many set ups for years.
The trick is to try to get the big cruise speed growths and maintain top speeds as well.
