Default Revolution 4 prop blow out help

I have recently picked up a rev 4 25p for my 1999 donzi 26zx 502 mpi. I had heard that this was a good match for the hull and the setup I have. I had a 24p bravo that was ok but i would hit the rev limiter and I was looking for a little better performance. The rev4 has all the vents plugged and still I blow out the prop really bad just as the bow comes level getting on plane. This happens at 3000 rpm and as soon as the bow levels it shoots to 4000 rpm. No speed increase it revs up and if I let it it will stay at 4000 until the speed picks up to the slip of the prop. I am happy with the out of the hole performance and top speed is 2mph faster but I cant get over the slip as it settles onto plane. ANY HELP? The exhaust is through hull only and solid hub mounting the prop. It seems to really slip even when on plane in the 3-4300 RPM range.

Is this with the drive all the way down during planing? It is cavitating during the transition. Of you gained all the other stuff I would drive through it. The rev 4 is a great prop. Pull back on throttle til you feel it bite or come up on plane slower to allow it to keep biting. I can't imagine your pulling skiers so hole shot should not be a concern.

Yes drive in. It does seem to hook if I start to trim a little when it hooks a little better. I have never had a prop do this.

There are changes that can be made to the prop to help this.
Has the prop ever been repaired or worked on by anyone before?
Some of this type of action is or can be common place with these hulls.

Call me and I can explain reasons or give you some possible options.

Ya with a step hull your boat needs a pointy ear prop like hydromotive quad 4 or a bravo 1 that rev 4 is for a non step hull. its like a hydromotive quad 4X
