Hi,
I have a 2004 caravelle interceptor 232. It has a 496mag with a bravo 1 with what I'm told the 1.5 gears but I don't know how to verify. The boat probably weighs about 4000lbs with fuel. It currently has a 23p mercury vengeance prop. This prop is ok out of the hole, but top speed it really falls on its face. I am not able to trim past halfway up without the boat Cavitating badly. I am hitting around 5k rpms, and even hitting limiter in better weather. This is about 62mph on gps. I would like to be around 66-67, and still be decent out of the hole. I am thinking a mirage plus 25p would provide some more bow lift And get me there but I don't really know. The boat does not have trim tabs, but I will probably go with some smart tabs at some point as it seems this will help the boat through the rough. Any thoughts or recommedations?
I also used the bblades web form last week but I understand that they are quite busy.
Thanks!

KDubb,
We have been a little behind in our email responses due to to the amount. Sorry for the slight delay.
I think the smartest route would be to test a 25 Mirage Plus through our test prop program. From there we can discuss the outcome and determine the best Lab recipe for your set up. Through a series of questions and calculations well as experience, we can create the best option for you in stock or Labbed form.
Let us know if we can help further.
