Default 23% prop slip? WAY TO MUCH

ok real fast boat with same power with trs ran 78mph
last year switch to B1s and set x up a little high ran 74 with 24 pitch bravo ones.
Got some new 24's props boat wont go over 71 lowered x 1 inch with spacers still 71 mph

29 foot mirage twin 388 small blocks
6100 rpm 24 pitch props = 23% slip? @ 71 MPH

Im guessing its the props?

How about nose cones?
Any thing to gain by closing up water pickups on drives dont use them have pick ups on transome?

HELP

Default fixx

low water pickups are interfering with the props water flow?? if you still have them on the boat and are using them just make sure they dont disturb the water entering the props..

Looks like the 24's i bought arent 24's? no way we drop 1000 rpm from a real 24 to a 26?

Going to close up the water pickups on drives put on a set of nose cones and have the props checked out.
