Default Pitch Change?

Basing this on a 4 or 5 blade prop in general terms,

How much pitch can be added to a prop?

In terms of real change in the pitch?

By other tricks that will change the effective pitch of the prop?

1" up or down is the general rule. Maybe another 1" of effective change for some cupping and rake adjustments

Agreed. The smaller the overall blade area of a given propeller the harder it is to adjust the pitch. Blade area near the root can not be bent.
Cup adjustments can "trick" the prop into about a 3" change but the performance gains are different than actual pitch changes.
