Don't have the drives yet, but don't want to buy a set that won't let me run an adapter.

Buy asd´s with #6 shafts so you don't need adapters.

25 splines has not adapter for 26 spline #6

There are adapter for 19 to 26, but asd8... are there 19 splines shafts for asd 8 dont know.

Ask Rik from Arneson he is your man ..

I thought early asd8 had 19 spline , could have been not called asd8 then .. I saw these on a scarab 38 with drop down boxes , They had 19 spline just like ssm3-4. Like mentioned buy a set with 26 spline, so you wint have to convert , i am having this situation with my asd8 ,s , I have 25 spline , but Those are hard to find , been thinking to convert THE propshafts to 26 spline though...

Back when we first made the ASD8's there were no Merc 26, just the 19T style and the propellers that were made for the 19T spline shafts. We upgraded the ASD8 to the "then" ASD10 25T spline and then when Mercury came out with the 26T spline, and Keikhafer sold to Merc, Merc refused to make propellers like Keikhafer had done with the 25T spline so we just made the shaft with the same 26T dimensions as Mercury was using. This way our customers could get propellers for applications where the Merc propellers would suit or they could get the 25T for applications were the Merc would no work best. We offer the ASD8 with either the Arneson 25T or the Merc style 26T shafts.

So does this mean that ASD-10's could be 25 or 26 spline ?

Anything is possible and I've done this.

The ASD10's are an even bigger 31T design so I can always make them smaller as there is enough meat there to do this.
