I'm looking for prop results on formula F206s... I have seen lots of info on OSO but typically from 8+ years ago. Seems like laser II was/is popular. Wondering if there is anything newer out there... below are all of my tests under similar conditions trimming up until the speed stops increasing (no trim limit switch).
I have an 86 spider (open bow) with slightly upgraded motor (vortec heads intake and roller rockers) maybe 300 hp. Boat came with a 14x19p Stelleto. It will do 57 mph (gps) with 1/2 tank and 2 passengers all day/any day at 5000 rpm. The Stelleto has decent bow lift and great acceleration from 3200 rpm and up.
I tried a used 14.75x21p mirage plus and hit 56 mph at 4300 rpm. It didn't seem to have any bow lift and the stern felt squirlly at wot. Great cruise speeds/traction.
I also tried a 13.5x22p Enertia and hit 58 at 4400 rpm with 3/8 tank and 2 passengers. This prop made the boat feel like it was riding a foot higher than normal. The bow lift was incredible. It always felt very stable as well. Not sure why I only picked up 1 mph though.
Anyone try a Tempest, or Trophy?
For some reason I'm thinking a 14 to 14.5 inch diameter prop is ideal for this boat and bow lift helps, which I belive has a lot to do with rake.
Please post engine hp, prop model, top speed and rpm for your 206s...
I've heard these boats do 60 mph stock, and I'm just wondering if I've got the wrong prop.
Thanks

I have 86 206LS with 260hp (owned for about 20 years). I have tried 21 pitch high five, 21 pitch cleaver and 21 pitch mirage and my finding was the mirage had the most bow lift and the speed was 57-58 on the boat speedo, never GPS it. Also I turn a touch more rpms, 4600 rpm trimmed out.

Tested a 14.625x21p tempest plus. 3/4 tank fuel 2 passengers. Hit 57 mph at 4300 rpm. Not to bad getting on plane and excellent cruise. I could do 30 mph at 2500 rpm and 37mph at 3000 rpm. Decent bow lift and was stable at WOT. I thought the mirage had more stern lift and made the stern feel squirrely at WOT. I didn't notice that with the tempest. I'm thinking I need to burn up some gas, lose the passenger and see if I can get a mph or 2 more.

Call me anytime if you desire and I can explain some of the options.

CAEMI,
I have settled for a 21 pitch Stelleto. They were on clearance at overtons this past summer for $250. I like the 14.25x21 pitch advantage II the best. The 14.5x23 pitch advantage III is tough to spin for me. I'm pretty sure they are not being made anymore, but you may be able to find one. Pretty inexpensive also.

Seems to be best all around ride and provide plenty of bow lift for me (I have an open bow F206). It gets out of the hole with no issues, handles well and good grip. For $250 I couldn't beat the price. I seem to like the 14" to 14.25" diameter. 14.75" diameter (which I think the Mirage is) seems a little big. My boat likes rake and bow lift. The Enertia 22p seemed to be a great top end prop, but didn't seem to grip at cruze speeds (2500-3000 rpm). I only had a couple hours to run this prop. I don't like how the diameter is small (13.5") on the Enertia 22.
I think they are sold out of Stelletos at Overtons, and not sure if this place has any left..

Good luck!
