Just finished up a 1990 25' warlock cat 525 sc engine bravo 1 with 1.5 ratio. Not sure of weight, Tried a 26p 4 blade bravo 1, largest prop I have. easily got up to 5500 more to go, Anyone have advice on what may work best? any input would be helpful.

I have never seen anyone run a 3 blade on a cat. Typically they have natural bow lift so a transom lifting prop can be benificial. A 3 blade is not conducive to stern lift. Hydromotive Q4 might be a good choice. My 28' profile loved stern lift, I ran 5 blades on it to take advantage of that.

26 4 blade bravo 1 5500rpm 72-74 mph 27 3 blade bravo 1 plus 5500 80 mph pushed the throttle to 6000 couple of seconds did not note top speed it would go more but stopped. This was on gps. 30 p prop most likely a good call to try don't have one to try yet.
Thanks for the advice.

I am currently running Between a Signature SL4 30P worked by Hole Shot Propellers cut barrel, vents and a 30P Bravo 1 BBLades Labbed, thinned blades, added a little cup and trim barrel on my Cougar MTR with good results to about 85MPH. 500EFI and Bravo 1. Highest RPM I have seen is 5300. I also have a new Bravo 1 32P I am thinking about sending to BBlades to have them do the same things they did to the 30P when they are slower in the winter. If you had warmer weather I would let you try one of them and see if it helps. LOTS better than stock Bravo 1 30P on both of these props. The thinned blades of the BBlades worked Bravo 1 are awesome from low mid to top mid and give bite from about 20MPH to 70 very well. The SL4 gives similar results and I for how cheap it was, about 1/3 the cost of the BBlades worked Bravo 1 I really like it.

I'm guessing the 525SC does not have the stock ignition/rev limiter 5350rpms????
BTW, a 26 Bravo spins about the same rpm as a 27 Mirage. 2" of pitch change on the same make prop is about 400rpms.
I would try 28 and 30 Bravo props.

Not stock ignition rev limit at 6000 for now Engine has all the good stuff 6000 no prob but want to be at 5500 when done
Had a few cats and found they don't play by the prop rules for rpm and speed.
Still looking for props to try Could use another friend in the upper NJ lower NY area
