Default 29 Warlock prop advise.

Hello all, have a 29' Ultimate Warlock running a 540 supercharged engine. I currently have a 30 pitch four blade bravo.Mid fives for rpms. I am only hitting around 75MPH and I am pushing close to 900 HP. the boat has great acceleration almost like a PWC. I am considering going up to a 32-34 pitch any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks tom

If all your #'s are accurate and assuming 1.5 ratio, your slip is around 26% which is very high, should be more like 12-17 area, prop may be damaged, high x dimension, drive shower pickup tube or thru hull pickup for intercooler interfering (if you have those). Try another 30p or check into the other things i have listed. Just some more advise, i would baby that coming out of the hole, even with a built drive you can probably snap it on command with 900hp.

Thanks for the advice, my mechanic said my X dimension was about two inches high so he didn't recommend a shorty drive. I do have a pickup for my supercharger that probably is causing drag but I don't think it's drastic. Any advice on a high x dimension? thanks again..and yes I do baby it out of the hole i dropped 12k on the new drive last summer..

I would try a adding a 1" spacer to the drive. It will help reduce slip and carry the bow better.
A 5 blade prop will help reduce slip.

I agree about the spacer and maybe 1.5 spacer to try as well. Anyways what is your recommended max rpms for your set up ? I would also make sue that you do not have a mechanical issue of some sort holding back the speed here and or water flow to the prop.
