I had a 350 mag mpi and I ran a 24 pitch. I recently purchased a 496 ho to drop in instead. It's a 1999 24x7 Python. Already have a brovo drive. What pitch prop, #blades should I try first. Any help appreciated.

I have the same boat. I have a 365hp 454 mag, 1.5 bravo 1 and now run a Mirage 23. With a 496 HO, and if your gear ratio is 1.5, I would do a Mirage 25 or Mirage Plus 25.
My boat came with a regular 25, but I couldnt spin it as high as I wanted to at the time. In retrospect, I probably should have had it labbed, but with your power plant, a 25 would be a good place to start.

I can give you the owners cell number and he will set you up with what you need. He made a prop for me, and it cuts the water like a razor blade, I can tube on my boat, I can race my boat, it is an excellent prop for a great price, tell I sent you and he will take care of you,
He has excellent customer service skills, and he has one of the best props in the world. Just take my boat for a spin and you will see. Tell him I sent you and he will make you as happy as I am , and I am hard to please, just ask my boat mechanic,
My name is :
Jj jakubowicz. Call me or email me and we can talk, and I will call Doug the owner for you and set you up with him, great guy to work with and an excellent prop maker
